Deezer is the official app of the music streaming service Deezer. Thanks to Deezer you have access to a catalog of more than 20 million songs.
Deezer allows you to easily find any song thanks to its search engine, which allows you to search by artist, album and songs. Deezer offers the possibility to create playlists with the songs of your choice. The playlists are displayed in the main window so that you can access them quickly. In addition to the playlists, the main window displays the albums you listen to the most or those marked “listen later”. This application is a good way to discover music. The “Deezer Picks”, accessible from the main window, shows five music recommendations based on users’ tastes. On Deezer you will find genres for all tastes: pop/indie, alternative, rock, metal/hard rock, dance/electro, R&B/soul, hip hop, world music, jazz/blues and classical music. And if you want to listen to the radio, Deezer offers a selection of more than 30 thematic radios.
Deezer offers smooth navigation and intuitive operation. From the main window you have access to almost everything: playlists, favorite albums and radio. In the rest of the pages (artists, albums), great care has been taken in the distribution of the elements so that a clean and uncluttered interface is visible at all times, which facilitates handling.
Deezer for iOS adopts a minimalist style very comfortable for navigation All elements are distributed in practical cards and the color combinations are very neat, as well as the photos of groups and albums.
Deezer has done a good job. If you use Deezer on your phone you will see that the app works great: navigation is smooth and information about artists and albums is elegantly presented. Another aspect that we really liked is the background playback of songs. On the other hand, there is still room for improvement. For example, the recommendations are quite limited and sometimes the cataloging is not entirely correct. Another aspect that limits the experience is, obviously, the need to have a Premium+ account to listen to more than 30 seconds of each song. If you are a Deezer user it is 100% recommended, but if you are not, there are other options such as Spotify that allows you to listen to a few hours of music per month in exchange for advertising.
